Not sure if that would change anything needed for this task. I connected my Evo to my pc and hit use as a disk drive. But my computer didn't show any sign of another drive.
I looked under my computer saw my c drive and my burners etc. Am i doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am also using Astro if that matters.
It appears as if my Evo is erasing files from the Sandisk card that was pre-installed. I'm wondering if this issue is somehow attributed to the update that was supposed to fix the "SD card" issue. Few days ago, my device stopped recognising the card, as if it didn't even exist. So what I did was insert the microsd into my laptop using an adapter, and I could see all the files intact and safe.
The files are there, i can view them, i just cannot copy them. I want to copy the files off in order to format the microsd card to be able to use it again. Another major problem is, files and complete folders are disappearing!
I lost my photos folder and all my music folder luckily i have a backup of those. I have read somewhere that SanDisk manufactured faulty 32gb cards, and i get to return it and get a replacement, but i bought it from Amazon and i shipped internationally, it will be very cost inefficient to return it. I've just synced my Desire with my PC and tried putting some pictures and some music on to the SD card. Only 5 out of 18 pictures transferred and only 5 of the albums from 14 I selected. Also one of the albums seems to have been split into 4 'albums' with 3 of them containing only 1 track.
Tried mounting the Desire as a drive rather than using sync, the images have all moved over but the music still seems misfiled or something. I'm using Cubed as my player.
Is there a better option or do I need to something with my mp3s? Most noticeably quick office, the bards tale. As most of my files are stored on micro SD this is very annoying. I can access those files using es file explorer but it would be better if apps could detect them as well.
I've tried to format my ext SD, edit platform. So any clue how to make quockoffice access documents on external micro sd? I formatted my card per Radio Shacks instructions but in hindsight I should have checked to see what came preinstalled first. I am fairly sure that the HTC Sync installation file was on there, but I think there was some music as the music widget had a song on it but after the format there wasn't anything. Now, that's damn expensive for 16gb of storage and I'm not used to buying storage for my phone since I've had an iPhone.
Is it worth it to drop to a lower storage capacity or a lower speed? How much of a difference does the transfer speed make on the phone? Does it hinder the speed of the phone at all? I just got a Galaxy Note 10, which I am hoping will work well for art-making purposes.
I need to be able to transfer files to and from my tablet. I need to be able to import some files I've started on my computer and then transfer my drawings back to said computer. I've never used an android device before. I thought there would be a simple built-in option for this, but it seems that there's not.
Fine, so I have to download an app, which is fine. I've downloaded several, but nothing is working the way I want. I have a folder on my computer that is shared on the network. Every other computer in the house has no problems finding it, grabbing files from it, or putting new files on it. But I can't find any app that lets me browse the shared folder like any other windows based computer can do.
I've tried this in the music folder, ringtone folder and notifications folder and they don't appear in the actual applications where I moved them to, but they appear in the file manager as being there.
Am I doing something wrong. I don't understand why this is happening. I bluetoothed some pictures from my laptop to my X10 but they go into their own file named 'Bluetooth', how do i move them from there into another file? If this is true, my question is: are users aware of this? Do you know more about actual use cases for this 'moving to SD card' feature?
I'm trying to figure this out because more and more users are asking me to allow it to be movable to the SD, but i don't want to create false expectations e. What's the deal with this? It appears that only some apps can be moved to the SD card. I have been using ApptoSD which works fine but only works on a few apps. Why won't it work with everything?
I keep running out of space on my phones memory and would love to move the bulk of my apps to the SD card. How do I save my photos from the phone over to the sd card? Can't figure it out - do I need an app? In order to do so now he has to do a factory reset.
He tried downloading My Backup via the internet to move them to the SD card but the app requires a Google account which he can't register until he's done the factory reset.
Has anyone been able to do this yet? My option to move to the SD Card is grayed out for for every app I assumed pictures would automatically be saved on my SD Card but they haven't.
I get the "phone storage is full" message all the time and the only thing I can think is that I have many pictures in gallery. How can I move the pictures to the SD card, that nothing is going to?
I have an lg f3 from virgin moblie and it does not have a button or way to move apps to sd cards in the settings. My carrier is Virgin Mobile Canada. I put music on it, set photos to autosave on it, etc. However, I have been unable to get some apps to move over correctly. I realize that some apps can't really get moved at least without rooting, etc.
The app I am specifically trying to work with is iBird pro. All of which stays on the internal memory. I have tried using App2SD, but it says that the program is not supported by my device and the iBird Pro shows up as "Phone Only" anyway. I have tried the ADB hack trick set-install-location 2 and reinstalled the app and still nothing, it just saved on the internal memory. Or at least tries to but the memory gets full and it stops the download.
Share on Facebook. Step 2 Turn the EVO over and slide off the battery compartment cover. Step 3 Insert the new microSD card into the card slot with the gold contacts facing down.
Step 4 Replace the battery and the compartment cover, then turn the EVO on. Step 3 Click the "Start" button, then click "Computer. Step 4 Locate the files on the computer that you want to transfer. Step 5 Right-click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom right corner of the system tray, and then click "Eject Storage Media. If you want to remove a microSD card from the EVO while the device is on, you'll need to unmount it first.
